A lot of SaaS LinkedIn ads have become clichéd with claims like “AI-powered”
So many SaaS brands are riding the AI hype wave… as if the AI feature alone will sell itself.
But I found a rare example of AI promo that’s actually good. 👀
Nearly every SaaS company uses the same benefits in their ads
3 of the LinkedIn ads (in the image above) use the same quote to promote the AI feature:
“Free up time with AI. So you can get back to focusing on what really matters.”
Meh. People already know that AI saves time…
It gets worse. These 3 companies are also direct competitors with each other – Zendesk, Monday and Intercom.
So if all these competitors use are using similar messaging… who’s gonna stand out?
The most thoughtful copywriting for promoting an AI feature? Comes from ActiveCampaign.
In their LinkedIn ad…
✓ They overcome the ICP’s objection of “I can’t trust AI to do a good job at my work tasks. I don’t like that AI could take over my job. 😡” Here’s the copy:
“Your campaigns are your ideas – AI just brings them to life faster.”
✓ Instead of fluffy benefits like “achieve your shared goals at scale”… they focus on clear AI capabilities.
“Predict the best email send times. Organize your lists.”
See, now you can pin-point exact work tasks that their AI can help you with.
The messaging is not a cloud of vagueness (like most AI tools).
Key takeaways:
Focus on clear pain-points and capabilities in promoting your AI helper.
A thoughtful approach beats a generic one. Any day of the week. ✊💫
